Belden 179DT Cable assembly

Introduction

HD-SDI patch cables using BELDEN 179DT (Digital Truck) 6GHz cable and precision BNC plugs. These HD-SDI patch leads are assembled at our Harlow, Essex assembly facility under our proven quality control system.

Belden 179DT is a small diameter precision video cable (OD 2.9mm) suited to applications where space is at a premium such as internal wiring for Broadcast trucks.

Belden 179DT has a 28.5awg conductor, foil and tinned copper braid shields and a Black PVC jacket which is suitable for indoor use only.

Recommended maximum transmission distance

SMPTE ST259 - Distance is based on 30dB loss at ½ clock frequency according to Belden data sheets

Maximum distance is 111M

SMPTE ST292 & ST424 - Distance is based on 20dB loss at ½ clock frequency according to Belden data sheets

HD-1.5Gb/s     maximum distance is 36M

HD-3Gb/s        maximum distance is 25M
