These HAM radio connectors are suited to a range of equipment covering HF, UHF and VHF frequencies.

The UHF (PL259 & S0239) connector is still very popular for "amateur" radio equipment and generally used for HF

For UHF and VHF applications BNC, SMA or N type connectors are preferred.
