SMB Connectors

The SMB Connector takes its name from SubMinature B (The second subminature design).

Designed during the 1960's, the SMB is a smaller version of the SMA connector, but with a ‘snap on' coupling rather than a ‘screw on' coupling.

SMB connectors are available in 50 Ohm and 75 Ohm versions, typically with a Gold plated finish but other plating options are available.

The SMB connectors offers good performance from DC to 4GHz

Typical applications include, Instrumentation,Test & measurement, Base stations, Automotive (GPS) & Telecoms
